Without a picture, I figured a logo would a good second option.
My home country is… Germany
My age is… 34
The first adventure game I played was… Larry 1 at the age of eight. I had to make heavy use of a dictionary at that time and had to take some hints for the harder puzzles, but finally, I was successful (still before I was taught English at school). I think I could still finish the game blindfolded today.
My favourite adventure game is… Monkey Island 2, because it is the funniest adventure game, if not the funniest thing, ever. Also the riddles are awesome, plenty and challenging (but fair). I can hardly believe any reader of your blog is not a huge fan and suspect some of you to name your runner up for this question so it doesn't get monotonous. I won't!
Man, I can't wait to play this!
When I’m not playing games I like to… Read from people who play games, binge watch series, watch movies and generally don't do enough sports or care for family planning.
I like my games in (a box, digital format)… Nowadays, digital. I liked the gimmicks games used to have, but honestly, they collect dust anyways.
The thing I miss about old games is… My curiosity about games. I think games got better over time and there's a huge assortment of indie games nowadays for nostalgia.
The best thing about modern games is… I can't decide, so I'll have to take 2: Hard disks and the internet! Size is no longer an issue. In the old days, games had to fit on x discs and disc swapping was hell. Also loading times are minimal. I love the internet not necessarily for multiplayer, but I can exchange in forums or read blogs about basically every game, get hints if stuck and often enough updates, bugfixes and additional content. I can download every game on a whim and don't have to dig out discs.
Kids of today don't realise how good they've got it, nor what they missed out on.
The one TV show I never miss is… I really loved How I Met Your Mother, that has fantastic storytelling, is really funny and at times also touching. Too bad it's over. I also love series with superheroes and watched Smallville, Heroes and even Roswell. I might be up for Supernatural or Arrow next.
If I could see any band live it would be… I'm not too much into music and actually never have seen a band live. If I had to pick one, I'd take Faithless, heard their show is awesome.
My favourite movie is… That is really a hard one and I'm sure I pick another one every time I answer that question. Because I already picked the most obvious adventure, I'll go with a less known this time: Lucky Number Slevin. If you haven't seen it, you should! :-)
I really enjoyed this movie too, although it was called The Wrong Man over here. You have to admit, Lucky Number Slevin is a pretty bad name!
One interesting thing about me is… I'm a bit embarrased that Larry 1 played such a big role in my life. ;) I didn't even play the other parts of the series or too many Sierra adventures altogether (didn't like the parts where you die at every corner).
