Note Regarding Spoilers and Companion Assist Points: There's a set of rules regarding spoilers and companion assist points. Please read it here before making any comments that could be considered a spoiler in any way. The short of it is that no points will be given for hints or spoilers given in advance of the reviewer requiring one. Please...try not to spoil any part of the game...unless they really obviously need the help...or they specifically request assistance.
If this is a game introduction post: This is your opportunity for readers to bet 10 CAPs (only if they already have them) that the reviewer won't be able to solve a puzzle without putting in an official Request for Assistance: remember to use ROT13 for betting. If you get it right, you will be rewarded with 50 CAPs in return.
It's also your chance to predict what the final rating will be for the game. Voters can predict whatever score they want, regardless of whether someone else has already chosen it. All score votes and puzzle bets must be placed before the next gameplay post appears. The winner will be awarded 10 CAPs.
Another bassist who's a Rush fan. Nice! :D
ReplyDeleteThe next Manhunter post will be up tomorrow morning (Australian time).
ReplyDeleteAlso of note: I've received an email from an important person in the adventure game community. More will be revealed soon...
Oh you tease you!
Delete(Undercover Exposure KS is cancelled)
What could it be? Al Lowe wanting to immortalize Trickster by making him a character in the new Larry?
DeleteOr, speaking of Kyrandia, it could be that a new game is coming and Trickster landed a role as Malcolm. I mean, look at his pic :-)
DeleteYes, Charles, YES!!!
DeleteIf only! I think I'd have to pay about $5000 on Kickstarter to get such treatment.
DeleteLegend of Kyrandia seems too cheerful and vivid for the snake ownin', tattoo wearin', hard rockin' bass guitarist that is Bob, but that just goes to show you don't know people. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Kyrandia series myself!
I always thought Kyrandia should be cheerful and easy, but then I actually played it.
DeleteIt is a harsh game (worse than Sierra for deaths in some cases!), and quite creepy in places.
Hmm...I never found the Kyrandia games creepy. The hand could get close though. :p
DeleteI vividly remember the day I saw this game. I was in the computetr section of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, and someone was playing it. I had very little adventure game experience at this point, and I immediately fell in love with the characters, setting, and ESPECIALLY THE MUSIC! The game seems cheerful and silly, but to me, it's really a tragedy of sorts. If you haven't tried it, I HIGHLY recommend it! Cheers!
DeleteRush: Just another thing that Canada gives to the rest of the world:
ReplyDeleteAlso, two adventure games on sale today:

Oh, and two more tomorrow as well. Man, you guys are spoiled.
DeleteDamn you Canageek ... making me spend my hard earned money.
Delete5 Points to Canageek.
DeleteI wonder how far down the list I am? I guess I got knocked down when I updated my answers.
ReplyDeleteI'll make sure your original email date is used. That means you're very, very close now.
DeleteYep. That's me, in the flesh, well, sort of. I don't have long hair. I made this as part of a promo flier I make for my Karaoke night each week, and I love costuming, so I have lots of stuff lying around, so I made myself up in 4 getups like an old buttrock band. But yeah, I 'm pretty solidly tattooed, which is common in this city... Too common... Nice to "Meet" y'all!
