Also I'm not generally a fan of action or combat parts of adventure games (Quest for Glory being a notable exception).

Time Gate I seem to remember being more puzzle based, and I never played the Little Big Adventure games but perhaps when their years are up for discussion we can see if they get added!Andy_Panthrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18231815646876343380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3387495443226852794.post-84386420633908762722018-09-10T07:25:36.188+10:002018-09-10T07:25:36.188+10:00I recall that much of the combat is unwinnable dea...I recall that much of the combat is unwinnable dead-end distraction... I found it to be like a hyper-amplified version of AITD, riding its successes further and sinking deeper into its failings at the same time.

But it would probably make more sense to cover a) the sequels AITD 2, 3 and Time Gate or b) the games the AITD devteam went on to make, the Twinsen "Little Big Adventure" games.

There's a whole legacy of AITD-style adventures, notably three PS-era series by Capcom -- Resident Evil was the biggie, but also Dino Crisis and Onimusha. There's no shortage of these to cover, but it's not like this website's hit list needs any more games to avoid running out of topics 8)Rowan Lipkovitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08691096685515251681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3387495443226852794.post-82966350882437584922018-09-09T20:03:24.663+10:002018-09-09T20:03:24.663+10:00I read so much about that game when it came out, b...I read so much about that game when it came out, but never ended up playing it. It is baffling how many people supposedly dedicate their lives to finding something but couldn't be bothered to pick up a spade and dig a hole in the garden (the caves are supposed to be beneath the house after all).

The protecting pentagram is a nice trick (not sure if that info should have been ROT13'd or not but it's out now), back in primary school we were taught that occult symbols with circles around them are meant for protection, this is probably just leftover "knowledge" from the great 80's satanic cult witch hunt that everybody seems to have forgotten about (or was that just us?
